Your feet, my hands, your health.
My name is Johannes Kopf, I am a massage therapist.
Under the term “Reflexology”, I combine the most effective methods of stimulating reflex zones on the body’s surface, in order to promote change within the body. I apply these techniques to the feet, lower legs, hands, face and head.
My Mission
Building on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I integrate elements from prenatal therapy as developed by Robert St. John, foot reflexology as practised by Johann Schwarz, and reflexology as taught by Andrea Maria Wirth.
The aim of this treatment is to promote vitality and harmonious functioning within the patient’s organs; through these means alone, ailments, symptoms, and illnesses can improve or even be resolved entirely. Through targeted stimulation of this site, stimuli travel via the nervous system, restoring balance within the autonomous nervous system.
The method
Reflexology
Under the term “Reflexology”, I combine the most effective methods of stimulating reflex zones on the body’s surface, in order to promote change within the body.
I apply these techniques to the feet, lower legs, hands, face and head. From there, impulses are relayed back to the stimulated organ, restoring balance within the autonomous nervous system.
Common
Complaints
and Their Significance
Conditions such as anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances are, in my view, expressions of an internal imbalance. They signal that something within the system is no longer in harmony and requires attention.
Following appropriate medical evaluation, I would be delighted to support you in addressing these and similar concerns.
FAQ
What is the difference between a Reflexology treatment and a foot massage?
A conventional foot massage focuses on relaxation, whereas my treatment is designed to deliver maximum therapeutic effect.
What happens during the treatment?
After a brief consultation, I’ll ask you to take a seat in the treatment chair and remove your socks. Ideally, you should wear loose, comfortable clothing, including pants you can easily roll up.
I begin by gently working on your feet and then slowly move deeper into the tissue of specific reflex zones. Stressed organs will signal distress by presenting specific textures, as well as visibly reddening.
As I linger on the points that most need attention and slowly move on, stimuli are gradually applied to facilitate healing.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
From babies to the elderly, everyone is welcome.
Ideally, you have already had your health complaints medically evaluated.
The treatment is also well-suited for maintaining health and as preventative care: by consistently nurturing the energy flow in our organs, imbalances and the resulting illnesses cannot arise in the first place.
If you have any questions, you can reach me by phone.
What conditions can be treated?
Strictly speaking, I don’t treat diseases; I treat you as a whole person.
I view diagnoses as labels given to specific patterns of behavior exhibited by your body: identifying the dynamics and causes of these patterns and guiding them back toward health is the challenge I take on anew with every treatment.
As a result, there is hardly any ailment or illness with which you cannot be treated: from allergies, intolerances, organ dysfunction, musculoskeletal complaints, neurological and hormonal disorders and autoimmune diseases, all the way to cancer and conditions with no known cause.
That being said, here are some examples of conditions for which reflexology treatments can yield good results:
PMS
Period pain
Menopausal symptoms
Migraines
Sleep problems
Asthma
Edema
Cellulite
Obesity
Digestive problems
Allergies
Food intolerances
Hypertension
Tinnitus
Dizziness
Susceptibility to infections
Diabetes
Back pain
Muscle tension
Muscle cramps
Frozen shoulder
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Fibromyalgia
Herniated disc
Spinal stenosis
Sciatica
Post-stroke condition
Parkinson’s disease
Polyneuropathy
Restless Legs Syndrome
Dementia, Alzheimer’s
Organ hyper- and hypofunction
Gout
Rheumatoid arthritis
Cancer
Infertility
I use prenatal therapy to treat children with developmental disorders, congenital conditions, autism, Down syndrome, or symptoms resulting from complications during pregnancy or birth. In regards to conditions of this nature, the earlier that treatment begins, the better - ideally starting as early as infancy or childhood.
Please note that my treatment does not replace a doctor‘s visit. No guarantees of healing can be made.
How many treatments do I need to see improvement or achieve a cure?
As a general rule: the more acute a condition is, the more recently it has emerged and the fewer systems in your body that are affected, the faster the healing process can be.
The more chronic, long-lasting and systemic your condition is, the more important it is to undergo a series of treatments.
Shorter intervals at the beginning are beneficial, which can then slowly expand as your recovery progresses.
Are house calls available?
In the Vienna area, I also offer house calls if required.
In addition to the treatment, I charge €30 per visit.

Tips for Patients
Ideally, arrange your timetable so that you do not come to your therapy session immediately after a meal. One (or preferably two) hours after eating, your body has energy available that it can direct toward the treatment rather than digestion.
By releasing blockages and restoring the flow of energy (Qi) in your body, you may experience temporary reactions after the treatment. The most common of these are fatigue or a feeling of cold. This should be seen as a positive sign; your body is now directing its energy “inward” to begin the “cleansing” process. It is best to take time after the treatment to rest, eat and drink well and keep warm.
